Andy Warhol Polaroid Series 2
“A picture means I know where I was every minute. That’s why I take pictures. It’s a visual diary.” In conjunction with The Andy Warhol Foundation, Kidrobot brings you this intimate look in to Andy Warhol’s life with the Andy Warhol Polaroid Series 2. Using his camera much like we use Instagram today, Andy Warhol created a diary of his life through the lens of a Polaroid camera. This collection of 11 photographs takes a closer look at objects of Warhol’s curiosity and contains an iconic Andy Warhol quote on the back. These 11 Polaroid reproductions are a great collectible for the Warhol enthusiast and create a timeless visual diary of the life and art of Andy Warhol.

PURCHASE

Andy Warhol 20″ Camo Dunny Plush
Based on the question “What can I do that would be abstract but not really abstract,” he posed to his studio assistants this plush Dunny comes in an all-over camo print. Unlike military motifs, Warhol’s Camouflage prints reflect bright and inorganic colors that would not be suitable for any landscape. Standing 20” tall and constructed with super soft plush, this Andy Warhol plush Dunny will add new depth to any Warhol collection.

PURCHASE

Andy Warhol Campbell’s Soup Can 8″ Masterpiece Dunny
Andy Warhol and Kidrobot meet to present a limited-edition Andy Warhol Masterpiece 8” Dunny series. Motivated by a friend’s suggestion to paint “something you see every day and something that everybody would recognize. Something like a can of Campbell’s soup” the third Dunny in the series is a homage to Andy Warhol’s most iconic piece. The Andy Warhol Campbell’s Soup Can 8″ Masterpiece Dunny comes packaged in a black window box with a magnetic closable flap. Limited and numbered to 500 pieces worldwide this is a must have piece for any Andy Warhol collector.

Mija Drops New Heelys shoe Collab

Mija and Heelys collaborate on new sneaker

Published

on

Mija has teamed up with early 2000s cult footwear brand, Heelys, for a limited edition shoe collab, available now via her Made By Mija store. The collab was fully designed by Mija as a hybrid style of old school hi-top skate shoes and early 2000s underground rave culture. She cites her early high school years of throwing and attending underground raves in Phoenix, AZ as the primary influence for this design.

Following an organic exchange on Twitter between Heelys & Mija in October of 2016, Mija offered to design a new run of shoes at no design cost to the company. After a year of tweaks and fabrication, the shoes are now available to the public. Mija launched her own DIY and self-designed clothing company, Made By Mija, in September of 2016, releasing original designs and cut & sew patterns. This footwear collab marks her first foray into footwear.
