Baba Ali “I’ve Been Voodoo’d”

New Jersey-based newcomer Baba Ali, originally part of electronic duo Voices of Black, makes his Elite Debut. This week the talent independent act premiered his new single “I’ve Been Voodoo’d,” the follow-up to his highly approved ’Nomad’ EP. The new single is filled with Soul, Pop, Folk, a small dose of Electro-pop and plenty of soul-claps.

Baba Ali speaks on the inspirational process behind the single: “After just recently moving from New York to London late last year, I witnessed from afar a racist, sexist, fascist egomaniac swindle his way into the White House. In the midst of all this shock, anger and disbelief, I found a way to write a song about it, which became ‘I’ve Been Voodoo’d’. It’s also a nod to T-Model Ford and Hound Dog Taylor, whom I’ve been listening to constantly as of late.”
