Comedic actor Kevin Hart released the comedy event of the year yesterday with his fourth stand-up film, ‘What Now?‘ hitting theaters globally. With a lot of attention surrounding the new stand-up motion picture, the original soundtrack for the film has been riding the wave as well with a all-star soundtrack filled with Kevin Hart friendly big names like 2 Chainz, T.I., Trey Songz, Migos, and many more.
As new songs from the soundtrack make headlines, today we receive a new one off the Kevin Hart alter ego persona Chocolate Droppa introduction starring R&B singer Chris Brown, “Scream” featuring his artist and talented songwriter Joelle James. “Scream” is a real thrill to listen to, a ballad of desire and intense passion over the classic New Edition-sampled, “Can You Stand the Raid“. Fans will be left looking for more material on the featuring songstress.
A former American Idol contestant, Joelle James has been under the CBE banner since 2012. While “Scream” is the latest collaboration between the student and the teacher, James and Brown released a song together under Interscope back in 2012, “Fading Away”. Over the years, James kept herself relevant performing viral cover songs to a lot of the biggest records in music.
‘What Now?’: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is distributed under Motown Records. ‘What Now?’ is in theaters now.
