Hotel Mexico “All In Dreams”
Hypnoptic, blissful, intricate, soothing, euphoric, any words can be applicable to describe their music, but no words can express it enough. Hailing from Kyoto, Japan, Hotel Mexico is certainly one of much-talked-about band in current Japanese indie music scene since their debut release “3 Songs EP” in 2010. By the time the debut mini-album “His Jewelled Letter Box” was put out, the buzz spread across the seas and the band caught the eyes of various popular overseas music websites / blogs such like Pitchfork, Gorilla vs Bear and The Fader. And then, some songs from the mini-album were used in the surf documentary film “Lost Atlas” by US filmmaker, Kai Neville. 2012 was the year that the band made a next great leap forward. The band singed with Double Denim Records in UK and and put out their UK debut vinyl EP “Space In The Loveless Field” which instantly went out of stock. They Grabbed a chance to play two live show in NYC afterward. Finally, the band is on it’ s way to release a newly recorded album. One thing is for sure, they will accomplish great things with the new album in the not-too-distant future, both home and abroad. The album is out now
