When it comes to inspiring others, there’s no one like Kanye West. He has developed a reputation for his rambling speeches. He encourages young people to only concern yourself with realizing your dreams.
“Society has put up so many boundaries, so many limitations on what’s right and wrong that it’s almost impossible to get a pure thought out. It’s like a little kid, a little boy, looking at colors, and no one told him what colors are good, before somebody tells you-you shouldn’t like pink because that’s for girls, or you’d instantly become a gay two-year-old. Why would anyone pick blue over pink? Pink is obviously a better color. Everyone’s born confident, and everything’s taken away from you” ― Kanye West
Many new rising hip-hop artists get inspired by Kanye. For instance, Chhina, young rapper and producer from Toronto, feels the work of Kanye really pushed him to follow his artistry. Chhina’s new piece of art called “Shade” dropped on November 8.
“When I was young I was always interested in being a singer, until a few years later I realized it wasn’t for me. So then I started to try and make music here and there in grade 7-8. I then dropped it. Then, later on, I really started to study Kanye West’s works and his artistry, towards the end of 2015, I started to get back into music and started to persistently produce beats. It only started off as beats, I had nobody to rap over these beats, so I started to write and write, and just started to rap. Now I brought myself here, and having it be less than a year of experience, I feel like the works of Kanye West had really pushed me to follow my own artistry and find my own sound”,- told Chhina, who is going to release is upcoming mixtape, “Get Rich” which featured a Toronto artist, Elcee The Artist.
