The inspiration behind the record was to celebrate and empower immigrant listeners, particularly women whose parents and grandparents’ went thorough huge sacrifices to get them where they are today.
The record features bilingual “Spanglish” lyrics, afro-beat styled drums, live trumpets, essentially paying homage the Latin Jazz sound.
